Our ESG Strategy serves as the principal foundation in our drive towards a sustainable future. The DNSB Philosophy is to create long-term value to our stakeholders in a sustainable and socially-responsible manner.
Environmental Conservation
At DNSB, conservation and protection of the environment is a key priority and one of our corporate objectives. We strive to pursue an environmental management system that sets high standards on pollution prevention, resource preservation and regulatory compliance. This includes among others implementing a robust HSE Policy, optimising water consumption, minimising wastewater discharge, recovering heat, promoting energy efficiency in our daily activities, rolling out environmental training to our employees and setting environmental targets and monitoring performance on a periodic basis.
Our environmental motto is simply “reduce, reuse and recycle”.
As an ISO tank cleaning & servicing company, we naturally deal with both hazardous and non-hazardous residual wastes on a daily basis. We therefore have a direct and heavy responsibility to minimise the impact of such wastes on our environment. Our DOE-licensed depot maintains a strong environmental policy to ensure complete compliance of all the terms of the license. We also work with two licensed external waste concessionaires for wastes beyond our scope of mitigation.

We live by the Code of Conduct to ensure absolute corporate governance, and adhering to sound business ethics and corporate governance is a top priority in our daily dealings and relationships with all our stakeholders.

Role of ISO Tanks in Environmental Conservation
Reduction in plastic waste
A single ISO tank is estimated to substitute the use of approx. 70 flexi-bags or 500,000 single-use plastic bags over its lifespan
Mandatory repair & maintenance
Regular maintenance and rigorous inspection of ISO tanks minimise the risk of leakages and potential environmental hazards
Recyclability of parts
Over 90% of materials used in an ISO tank can be recycled into other steel products upon decommissioning
High cargo retrieval ratio
Reduces wastages and unintended environmental pollution arising from disposal of hazardous materials
